Voices for Change is about recognizing the people who keep showing up. The survivors who turn pain into purpose. The mothers and fathers who fight for safer futures. The advocates, community leaders and elected officials who push for change from every corner of Illinois. And the historically neglected communities who’ve been ignored—but never gave up.
These voices carry the truth of this crisis and the wisdom to help solve it. They remind us that real community safety starts with addressing the root causes of gun violence: poverty, systemic racism, lack of resources and so much more.
When we listen to those closest to the pain—and uplift those leading the solutions—we see that this fight isn’t about one issue or one neighborhood. It’s about all of us.

At One Aim Illinois, we believe public safety starts with people and we are committed to ending gun violence in all its forms through advocacy, community investment and truth-telling. As the state’s largest gun violence prevention grassroots coalition, we bring together survivors, organizers, faith leaders, lawmakers and everyday people to drive systemic change. Each year, our annual fundraiser helps fuel this mission: bringing together voices for change, uplifting the movement, honoring the survivors and champions and powering the work ahead.
